Create and run a Game Night

Before you create an event

You need management access to the club. If management controls are missing, ask a club administrator to check your role. The setup screen explains your current event allowance and any Pro requirement. DUPR-rated play has additional connection and eligibility requirements.

Create and publish

Publishing makes the event available for RSVPs; you can prepare the final lineup afterward.

1. Open Play, select your club, and open Manage events. Use the create control to start a Game Night.
2. Choose singles or doubles and the partner or team arrangement offered. Select a format; touch and hold a format for its explanation.
3. Set the event details, scheduled time, duration, courts, scoring rules, capacity, and waitlist options.
4. Choose Social or rated play as offered, and resolve the eligibility messages before proceeding.
5. Review the setup and publish. Use Share RSVP Link to invite players. Save draft and close if you need to finish later.

Prepare the lineup and start

RSVPs are the starting point; check actual attendance before starting.

1. Open Manage Game Night and review accepted players and the waitlist.
2. Prepare the lineup from the accepted players. Review teams, starting courts, and rest assignments.
3. Check the format’s round plan, timing, and who can enter scores.
4. Use Start Game Night when the lineup is ready. Check the first round on the live scoreboard.

Run rounds and correct results

Follow the controls for your chosen format rather than assuming every format advances the same way.

1. Review the current courts and missing scores before advancing.
2. Open a match to enter scores. Wait for confirmation; an unsaved draft is not a final result.
3. For a correction, open the saved result, use Edit Score or Review & Edit Score, and Save Correction.
4. For formats that require another lineup or partner decision, review it before publishing the next round.
5. Review standings and any placement or final matches produced for your format.

Close and share the event

Review missing scores first. End Game Night locks player scoring and archives the event; managers can still review and correct results afterward. Share Scoreboard provides a results link. If the winning-team photo publishing option is available, review the image, destination, and caption before publishing.

Handle a late player, forfeit, or connection problem

Use the roster controls available for the event’s current stage and check the resulting assignments. The forfeit action records that match as a forfeit; it does not automatically remove the team from the event. If a score conflicts with another update, review the saved server result before retrying. Do not recreate the whole event to resolve one score.
