When should I choose friends instead of a club event?
Personal Game Night is a separate option in Play for a small group on one or two courts. It supports 2–8 players, subject to the selected play type and schedule. You do not need to follow the club manager publication workflow. Use a club event when you need club registration, club manager roles, and the public club scoreboard.
How do I set up and invite the group?
Open Play and the personal Game Night option. Choose the play type, fill in the session details and courts, then review the player list and schedule before starting. Use the invitation or sharing controls offered for that session. Check who has actually joined and who will attend; an invitation is not proof of attendance. iOS and Android layouts differ.
How do rotations and sit-outs work?
Review each generated round for opponents, partners, court, and rest assignments. A rest can be intentional when more players are available than court spaces. For singles, an odd player count or fewer courts needs additional slots; use the singles guide to check a complete cycle. Do not assume a personal schedule has the same simultaneous-court restrictions as club setup.
Who records scores and what happens in social play?
The host uses the session’s match controls to record results. Follow the selected rules and check the saved state before advancing. Where social play offers marking a game played without a score, that is not a competitive final score. Ask the host to correct a saved result rather than logging a duplicate standalone match.
How do I finish early and share the recap?
Review completed games before finishing. Finishing early cancels remaining games, so a partial session is not a complete round robin. Social and competitive recaps differ. Use the sharing offered by the personal session; the club TV link and its permissions are a different workflow.
